Seasonally Slow...

February 2026 Update
Sales in the Powell River residential real estate market remained seasonally slow at 15, just one up from last month and down from last February’s 24.  We’re still in the usual ‘winter dip’, the depth of which varies from year to year.  On the ground, buyer activity appears to be up and with a good supply of listings in total at 151 there’s lots to choose from.  New listings for February were up to 44 from 42 last month and new listings early in March are brisk. This and the buyer activity suggests that March may be a busy month.  My six month rolling average price trend shows a continued downward movement with a roughly 12% drop over the past six months.  Even though the change and uncertainty in the world continues, it feels like people have become more focused on what’s closer to home and if they need to buy or sell, they’re getting on with it. We’ll see what the winds of March bring!
